The Career and Talent Development Department at FIU serve as a career resource for FIU students and alumni. Through the Talent Development Network (TDN), high school and university students throughout South Florida have access to paid internships from South Floria's top companies. All students need to register is their student ID. TDN offers top South Florida industries a steamlined process to idenify top local talent for internships and future employment. The TDN Portal links students with paid internships and allows employers to access students across Miami-Dade at no cost.

Each semster the department's Federal Relations branch offers a hands-on internship at FIU's Washington, D.C. office. The program provides leadership and professional development experiences for FIU college students and recent graduates. Working on a full-time basis, the FIU in DC Internship offers unique opportunities to gain valuable work experience and a knowledge of Congress and the federal govenment. In addition, the FIU in D.C. office works to pair students with other internship opportunities, across all sectors, in Washington, D.C.
